18 October 2026
There’s a feeling that autumn is just around the corner and proper xc conditions will soon be upon us, but this weekend was still mostly about road running. Several Kent members were running races near and (very) far, which we’ll round up now.
Closest to home was the Cabbage Patch 10 miler in Twickenham, where we had 5 runners – Jonathan Collier as 4th in an excellent 50:03, Jim Allchin ran 55:27, Che Compton 56:38 (and 1st V45+), George Russell 62:10 and Jo Wint 79:51.

Over in West London, at Wormwood Scrubs, we had a team of U18 women competing in the SEAA xc relays. Tallulah Jones, Martha Perry and Alice Hales came a creditable 15th against stiff competition.
Slightly further afield, down in Portsmouth we had 4 runners attempting the Great South Run, another 10 miler. Tim Sharp (64:40), Rupert Bedford (66:29), Alex Gillespie (68:17) and Victoria Buck (68:30) were our finishers.
Then, further in location and in distance up in York, Martin Morgan ran the Yorkshire marathon in 4:10:57.
Adrian Dracup ran the Amsterdam marathon in 3:17:38, and Will Brown ran the Ljubljana marathon in 2:53:13.
And finally, furthest of all, Cameron Manson ran the Dongying marathon in China in 2:46.
Well done to all our runners proudly wearing the navy vest near and far!
CHRISTMAS PARTY!
